IN VITRO EVALUATION OF MANCOZEB ON Fusarium oxysporum AND Drechslera spp. BY POISONED FOOD TECHNIQUE
Authors
Abstract
Experiment under laboratory condition was done to evaluate different
concentration of Mancozeb against Fusarium oxysporum and Drechslera spp. by poisoned
food technique. The fungi was isolated from infected materials of Solanaceous vegetable
crops. Mancozeb at different concentration viz., 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 were prepared and added
to a PDA medium and mycelia bits of 5mm diameter were inoculated under invitro condition.
The measurement of mycelia radial growth was taken on Petri plates at 7days of intervals
after inoculation. All the four concentration of Mancozeb inhibited the mycelial growth as
compared to control. However 0.2 Conc. was more effective for fusarium oxysporum. At 0.15
& 0.2 Conc. the mycelia growth in Drechslera spp. was completely inhibited. Therefore 0.2
Conc. is better to use for the management of both Fusarium oxysporum and Drechslera spp.
